I have worked in food manufacturing for 20 years, so understand the importance of quality and consistency, and this is why we have invested in some of the best equipment available in the microbrewing industry. Our promise to you is to provide a professional service from a dedicated team that you can rely upon.
We have installed the state of the art equipment in our microbrewery and our beers are brewed by traditional methods using malted barley along with hops, water and yeast. We are proud to grow and supply malting barley to our malt suppliers. A high percentage the ales we brew are racked into cask and then sold into trade, but in addition we also bottle and mini keg our ales on site. Our fully automated bottling line enables us to do contract bottling for other breweries.
Pheasantry Brewery has several accreditations including In Brewery SIBA member and SALSA plus Beer certification in association with Cask Marque and in addition we are an approved supplier to many major retailers.
Our green credentials are incredibly important to us as a business to help reduce our impact on the environment, to reduce electricity costs and helping us move towards becoming net zero. In 2022 a 70KW Solar Array system was installed on one of the barns to power the brewing process. An electric van, powered via the solar electric supply, is now part of our delivery fleet. The solid brewery waste is collected by a local farmer to feed his cattle and the liquid waste is spread over the land. We recover and reuse the heat during the brewing process, and we recover and reuse our yeast. Working with the Countryside Stewardship and Sustainable Farming Incentive Schemes we are planting five acres of trees under the Community Forest Scheme to help increase wildlife and improve carbon capture.
