New bottling line Robert Jenrick MP

Mr Robert Jenrick MP visited Pheasantry Brewery to officially ‘open’ and see the new bottling production line on Friday 14th June. Other guests included Mike Benner, retiring Chief Executive of SIBA, Peter Kerr from AB UK who supplied the Moravek line, Martin from Lincolnshire Coop who is one of the Pheasantry’s major bottle customers as well as Lincolnshire CAMRA – Steve and Wendy Renshaw and James Peck, the Regional Communication Advisor from the NFU. One of Robert’s roles in government sees him take a lead in taxation of the beer industry.

The bottling line was part funded by a 40% grant from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), an agricultural fund that supports rural developments and helps farms diversify. The investment has increased the ale line efficiency and productivity not only for Pheasantry to bottle more of their own beers but to now enable the brewery to offer a third party bottling service to other breweries, cider, water and soft drink manufacturers. The project also included two new large fermenters that will increase brewing capacity and flexibility for both bottling and cask production.
